On a sloping property with an existing wetland, our client desired a swimming pool and contemporary stone terrace for lounging and entertainment. The adjacent wetland was a beautiful amenity on the property and needed both the respect of the regulatory boundaries and the enhancement of the native plantings for optimal functionality.
The Dining and Gardening terraces are closest to the house for ease of access. A native fieldstone retaining wall encloses these and provides a beautiful backdrop to the contemporary pool and lounging terrace. Custom Corten steel planters and the Ash Granite terrace and steps blend the traditional shingle style house with the more contemporary pool area.
